Our client is a successful, long-established company in the FMCG sector with multiple production sites and a broad brand portfolio. The company combines a high level of production expertise, long-standing retail partnerships, and consistent brand development with short decision-making processes and a strong focus on execution. As part of its ongoing market expansion, we are seeking a sales-driven professional to provide strategic support and drive the further development of the REWE Group.
Responsibilities:
- Independently managing and strategically developing the REWE Group at the central and regional levels
- Preparing and conducting annual reviews, as well as negotiations on pricing, terms, product assortment, and promotions
- Developing and implementing customized growth and distribution strategies
- Responsibility for revenue, sales volume, and profit targets in the assigned customer segment
- Management of product launches, promotions, and marketing initiatives
- Analysis of market, competitive, and customer data, and derivation of concrete recommendations for action
- Identifying additional growth opportunities and expanding existing business areas
- Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with relevant decision-makers in the retail sector
- Close collaboration with marketing, product management, inside sales, and other internal teams
Profile:
- Several years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the brand-driven FMCG sector, ideally in the areas of beverages, dairy products, delicatessen items, confectionery, snacks, frozen foods, or comparable food categories
- Experience in managing national retail organizations, ideally the REWE Group
- Proven track record of success in annual reviews as well as price and terms negotiations
- Good knowledge of the structures and decision-making processes in the German food retail sector
- Strong analytical skills and a strong focus on numbers and results
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
- Confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel within Germany
