
LEADING MANUFACTURER OF INSTANT COFFEE & COFFEE EXTRACTS
- Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee (DEK) is part of the internationally active CAFEA Group, a leading manufacturer of instant coffee and coffee extracts with production sites in Germany and abroad and a strong position in the European and global market
- The company supplies international retail chains (food retail, discount stores) and industrial customers and is one of the top-performing suppliers in its segment in the PLB & B2B business in Europe and internationally
- Against the background of increasing demands on quality, costs and flexibility, the company is continuously driving forward structural and process optimizations as well as the implementation of OpEx standards
- As part of a succession process for the site management in Berlin, we are now looking for an experienced, strong leader who will be responsible for a highly automated plant with 220 employees and will lead it in a stable operational manner as well as develop it strategically
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Overall site responsibility, including production, technology, quality, HSE/QM, logistics and commercial areas
- Ensuring efficient and economical production operations (end-to-end) while promoting lean, CIP and operational excellence methods (SQDIP) and optimizing maintenance processes
- Responsibility for product quality, delivery reliability and compliance with all relevant standards (HACCP, IFS, occupational safety, environment)
- Managing the budget and results for the site, incl. CAPEX
- Leading and developing the management team and actively shaping change and performance processes
- Direct reporting line to the Director SCM & Operations CAFEA as well as close connection to the CAFEA management

YOUR PROFILE
- Several years of management experience in operations in the food or beverage industry with core competencies in production/technology, relevant experience in coffee technology
- Proven success in the transformation and further development of plants, ideally including new construction or conversion projects as well as extensive change management experience
- Strong in KPI-based control and performance management
- Confident people manager (m/f/d) who is able to build trust and establish a sustainable performance culture
- Confident in using SAP and relevant management tools
- Completed technical studies
