We are seeking the following position for our client to start as soon as possible:
Head of Production Planning (m/f/d)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic development of the dairy’s raw material supply
- Ensuring optimal utilization of milk as a raw material (cream, buttermilk, fat) and active strategic raw material management
- Profitably managing the freely available milk volumes on the global market
- Regularly assessing the current market situation and determining the optimal utilization of raw materials at the strategic, tactical, and operational planning levels
- Optimizing tools for the financial evaluation of various utilization approaches at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels in collaboration with our Controlling department
- Implementation of appropriate processes for regular assessment and decision-making
- Initiating capacity utilization projects
- Ensuring optimal procurement of raw materials for both plants
- Supplier retention and supplier communication
- Leading the planning division—strategically, tactically, and operationally—and overseeing the Milktrade division
- Providing technical and disciplinary leadership to the two employees in the Planning Department
- Responsibility for the cost-effective implementation of appropriate processes for regular evaluation, decision-making, and the implementation of the resulting strategic measures
- Preparing decision-making documents for management
- Development and optimization of internal planning processes and KPIs in collaboration with relevant departments
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on SCM, logistics, or process optimization, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in a comparable role in the dairy industry
- In-depth knowledge of the dairy industry and the value chain
- Experience in production planning
- Knowledge of procurement and raw materials management
- Knowledge of contract management and supplier relations
- Experience with ERP systems and a strong aptitude for numbers
- Ideally, experience with interdisciplinary projects
- A hands-on approach combined with a responsible and results-oriented work style
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
