Full-time
Active since: 18.09.2026

Are you passionate about commercial excellence, know the retail industry inside and out, and want to take a high-performing KAM organization to the next level?

As Head of Key Account Management, you’ll serve as both a strategic sparring partner and an operational driving force: You’ll coach our team leads and their KAMs, sharpen commercial performance in negotiations, and set our team up for sustainable growth. In this key role, you’ll translate strategy into first-class execution in the market and shape the commercial leaders of tomorrow.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Team Leadership & Coaching: You lead and coach our team leads and their Key Account Managers, foster their commercial development, and establish a culture of ownership, accountability, and commercial excellence.

  • Performance & Forecasting: You continuously review revenue, profitability, and relevant KPIs, challenge forecasts and client plans, and translate performance gaps into concrete actions.

  • Negotiation & KAM Excellence: You drive the structured preparation of annual reviews, act as a sparring partner in complex negotiations, and provide support during critical client meetings.

  • Standards & Process Optimization: You establish consistently high standards in key account management, scrutinize the performance of key accounts, and contribute to simple, effective internal processes.

  • Cross-Organizational Networking: You serve as the central point of contact for relevant departments (Logistics, Finance, HR, Product & Marketing), strengthen internal understanding of the requirements of the retail business, and ensure that client priorities, opportunities, and risks are taken into account company-wide.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Several years of experience in key account management at the mid-management level (ideally in FMCG, food, and/or food retail) as well as a proven ability to successfully coach and develop commercial teams

  • In-depth knowledge of the German grocery and/or drugstore landscape, extensive experience with annual negotiations and pricing, as well as a strong commercial understanding and confidence in handling P&Ls, forecasts, and KPIs

  • You work analytically, constructively challenge business assumptions, and create effective, cross-functional processes

  • A practical, hands-on mindset with a genuine interest in staying close to customers and day-to-day operations, driven by a commitment to leading teams to success through empowerment

  • Strong communication skills for negotiations and interaction within the German food retail and drugstore sectors

What we offer you:

  • Impact & Ownership: A lot of responsibility, plenty of creative freedom, and the opportunity to actively shape our retail business within a rapidly growing scale-up. With us, your ideas don’t end up in a drawer—they get put into action.

  • Smart Working & Flexibility: Flexible hours, hybrid work, and 20 days of workation. We trust in your personal initiative: You’ll go all out to achieve our shared goals and structure your day in whatever way works best for you. On top of that, you’ll get 28 days of vacation to start—with one additional day for every year of service (capped at 30 days)—so you can clear your head.

  • Growth & Setup: A structured onboarding plan to get you started, as well as your own development budget for your personal and professional growth. You’ll also receive your own MacBook and a fully equipped office setup with monitors and height-adjustable desks.

  • KoRo Vibe & Benefits: Free snacks and barista-brewed coffee in the office, a 20% discount in the KoRo online store, and exclusive perks from partner companies. On top of that, you’ll receive a fully funded Deutschland-Ticket, a subsidy for your gym membership (Urban Sports Club, Hansefit, or FitX), and a company pension plan (bAV) through Ginkgo.

  • Shared Moments: Regular team events and company parties to celebrate our milestones and successes together.

We’re looking for people who share our values

For us, it’s not just about the “what,” but above all about the “how.” You’ll be a perfect fit if you bring the following mindset:

  • You take ownership. You don’t wait for perfect briefings or clear instructions—you recognize opportunities and take action. When things don’t go as planned, you take responsibility and drive the solution forward yourself.

  • You thrive on change. Changes in priorities, processes, or plans don’t slow you down—you adapt quickly and keep moving forward.

  • You build things instead of waiting. If something’s missing, you make it happen yourself. You think in terms of MVPs rather than perfection and continuously optimize from there.

  • You think in terms of impact. You challenge the status quo, prioritize consistently, and always seek the smartest path to the best result—with a focus on what truly makes an impact.

  • You’re a true team player. You’re approachable, respectful, and bring energy to the team. You clearly voice your opinion, stand behind decisions, and inspire those around you with your positive and collaborative nature.

Own it – Move fast – Build it – Create impact – Lift others
