Your future responsibilities:
- Providing expert and proactive support for a defined segment of key accounts in the food industry, as well as large-scale consumers such as chain restaurants
- Responsibility for establishing, maintaining, and developing customer relationships with key accounts, as well as actively acquiring new customers
- Developing client-specific strategies for annual contract negotiations to achieve sustainable competitive advantages
- Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and selling prices; providing expert and needs-based support to customers regarding negotiated annual targets, such as sales value, sales volume, and sales initiatives
- Close collaboration with product development, quality assurance, and production
- Continuous monitoring of the market and competition, as well as budget and sales planning, and strategic expansion of the business unit
- Collaboration with all relevant departments within the company and across the corporate group
What you bring to the table:
- A successfully completed vocational training program in food technology (butcher, chef, baker, dairy technician (m/f/d)) and/or a college degree (with a focus on sales or food technology) or a comparable qualification
- Relevant professional experience with a proven track record of success, as well as excellent knowledge of the German food industry, its structures, and decision-making processes—ideally in the areas of spices, ingredients, food additives, or meat products
- Experience in conducting contract negotiations, securing product listings for food items, and delivering compelling product presentations and positioning, as well as experience in organizing and managing sales support initiatives
- Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and exceptional negotiation skills, as well as a keen sense of customer needs and market growth potential
- Flexible, solution- and performance-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong grasp of numbers
- Proficiency with standard MS Office tools
- Very good German language skills and willingness to travel
