- BAGUSAT is a successful, owner-managed medium-sized food company in the fruit and vegetable processing sector that already generates revenue in the range of hundreds of millions of euros and has been growing for years
- Our client employs approximately 250 people across two locations and, in addition to its brand-name and private-label business, has also been active in the domestic and international industrial sector for many years

- At the same time, BAGUSAT is adapting its structures and processes to accommodate its growing business; against this backdrop, we are now seeking a new Head of Purchasing (m/f/d) to fill a succession position
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the purchasing department and further developing processes and team competencies
- Procurement responsibility for raw materials, packaging materials, auxiliary materials, and logistics services
- Supplier selection and evaluation, as well as the establishment of strategic supplier partnerships
- Optimizing the ongoing supply of production and indirect materials as well as services, taking price and quality into account
- Further digitization and automation of core procurement and SCM processes
- Leading strategic projects with business-wide implications
- Management of three direct reports who report to the Head of Purchasing, Procurement, and SCM

YOUR PROFILE
- Several years of relevant professional experience in strategic procurement in the food sector; ideally in the food industry or among its suppliers
- Operational experience in leading/coordinating operational procurement
- Expertise in digitalization and automation, particularly of standard processes in procurement and SCM
- A leadership style suited to a medium-sized company, with an analytical mindset, yet also a “doer” with a hands-on attitude
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work in a team
- A successful degree in business administration with both commercial and technical components (e.g., industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
- The company is also open to “second-tier” managers who are looking to take the next step
