For our production site in Jänickendorf, we’re looking for an experienced leader who will further develop our packaging management with technical expertise, creativity, and strategic vision.

In this key position, you’ll take on the technical leadership of our packaging management team and design innovative packaging solutions that meet the highest quality standards, satisfy retail requirements, and align with current sustainability goals—particularly the PPWR.
You’ll work closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Quality Assurance, customers, and suppliers, and play a key role in the success of our products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Technical and strategic leadership of the packaging management team
  • Development, design, and optimization of sustainable packaging and layout concepts for film, cardboard, and label packaging, taking into account functionality, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and food safety regulations
  • Creating new packaging layouts and revising existing ones in collaboration with customers, agencies, Quality Assurance, and other internal departments
  • Managing and implementing packaging projects in close collaboration with Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Quality Assurance
  • Planning and overseeing print approvals, as well as collaborating with printing companies and packaging suppliers
  • Establishing and maintaining long-term partnerships with packaging and material suppliers
  • Monitoring market, material, and technology trends, and developing and implementing innovative packaging solutions
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, in particular the PPWR and other relevant packaging and labeling regulations
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for customers and retail partners on all matters related to packaging solutions

What You Bring to the Table

  • A successfully completed degree or vocational training in packaging technology, media design, graphic design, or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in packaging management, ideally in the food industry
  • Experience working with common food retail customer portals is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of flexible packaging (films) as well as primary and secondary cardboard packaging
  • Experience working with food law labeling and packaging regulations
  • Ideally, knowledge of the PPWR and current sustainability requirements in the packaging sector
  • Knowledge of common printing processes and experience with print approvals is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office and knowledge of relevant graphic design software would be desirable
  • A structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for collaborating with customers, suppliers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
