Home office with regular presence at the head office – HC 2842-01

Our client is an economically very solid, family-run company in the dairy industry based in the Benelux region. From there, the company supplies the European food retail trade with high-quality chilled branded and private label products. Modern production structures, high quality standards and sustainable growth have characterized the company for years. The German market is of central strategic importance. In order to further intensify customer relations and to relieve the existing team, the sales department in Germany is being strengthened in a targeted manner. We are looking for an experienced sales personality with fresh produce expertise and confidence in dealing with the German trade who, in addition to operational customer responsibility, is also interested in medium-term further development in the German business.

Tasks:

  • Independent support of national and regional customers in the German food retail sector (including full-range retailers, discounters, cash & carry)
  • Further development of existing customer relationships in the brand and private label business and identification of additional growth potential in the German market
  • Conducting annual meetings including price, condition and promotion negotiations
  • Close cooperation with product development, project management, production and management
  • Data-based management of the business (e.g. Nielsen, sales and turnover analyses, forecasts)

Profile:

  • Several years of experience as a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in food retail, ideally in the fresh or chilled sector
  • Very good knowledge of the structures and decision-making processes of the German food retail sector
  • Proven experience in conducting annual meetings
  • Analytical, structured and numerate way of working
  • Team player with a high level of personal responsibility and a pragmatic approach to implementation
