Head of Packaging (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS
- Technical and disciplinary management of the packaging department with 30-40 employees
- Establishment of a department structure and continuous employee development
- Definition of personnel requirements as well as personnel deployment and vacation planning
- Organization, control and optimization of packaging processes
- Participation in production planning and ensuring optimal capacity utilization
- Introduction and further development of suitable key figures for controlling the department, including reporting to the plant manager and management
- Responsibility for productivity, cost management, quality standards and team performance
- Carrying out process, quality and cleaning checks
- Initiating and monitoring corrective and preventative measures
- Planning and carrying out employee training (hygiene, HACCP, occupational safety)
- Continuous improvement of material and personnel flows and further development of structures, processes and projects
YOUR PROFILE
- Successfully completed vocational training, preferably in the food industry
- Relevant professional experience and knowledge in the packaging of perishable foods, preferably meat/sausage
- Management experience and experience in personnel resource planning
- Business management knowledge and experience in dealing with key figures and production processes
- Knowledge of packaging technology and quality control
- Confident handling of MS Office and ERP systems
- Fluent written and spoken German
