The Position:

As an Inside Sales Manager (f/m/x) for Food & Nutrition, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing your own client portfolio and will actively contribute to the growth of our business unit. You’ll combine a passion for sales with an intuitive understanding of customer needs to build long-term business relationships. Working closely with our Product Managers and Technical Managers, you’ll support customer projects from the initial inquiry through to successful completion.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Independently managing the entire sales process—from initial contact through proposal preparation and pricing to contract closure—in the Food & Nutrition sector
  • Actively managing, developing, and strategically expanding a defined customer base
    (new and existing customers)
  • Advising our customers on our portfolio of food ingredients and specialty raw materials, as well as developing tailored solutions in collaboration with internal subject matter experts
  • Consistent opportunity and pipeline management to ensure sustainable growth
  • Close collaboration with Product Management, Technical Management, and other internal teams on client projects, product sampling, and market launches
  • Preparing forecasts and taking responsibility for sales and budget targets in the assigned customer segment
  • Analyzing customer, market, and sales data to develop successful sales strategies
  • Maintaining all sales-related activities in Salesforce and utilizing digital sales and lead management tools
  • Representing IMCD at trade shows, events, and select client meetings

What you bring to the table:

  • A successfully completed vocational, technical, or science-based training program or a relevant college degree
  • Initial relevant professional experience in sales, business development, or a comparable customer-focused role
  • Interest in the food industry, food trends, and innovative ingredient solutions
  • A strong sales focus and a passion for convincing customers, identifying business opportunities, and achieving sustainable success
  • Negotiation skills and a passion for building long-term customer relationships
  • A structured, independent, and goal-oriented approach to work combined with a strong hands-on mentality
  • A high degree of personal responsibility and the ability to successfully utilize your autonomy
  • Team spirit and a willingness to go the extra mile together with colleagues
  • A solution-oriented approach, reliability, and open, transparent, and respectful communication
  • Proficiency with digital tools and CRM systems
  • Business-level German and good written and spoken English
