
MARKET-LEADING (SYSTEM) CHAIN STORE OPERATOR
- Our client is a medium-sized group of leading regional bakery chains that operates a network of around 500 stores in Germany
- The group is a portfolio company of a successful private equity company and pursues a buy & build strategy
- The individual companies with their regional managing directors are led and supported by a strong management holding company with the aim of realizing synergies in purchasing, production and administration
- While the systems and processes in the background are standardized (ERP, FiBU, etc.), the brands, which have a strong customer perception as "regional champions", are retained
- A new Group CEO (m/f/d) with a strong commercial understanding and experience in the continuous optimization of business processes is now being sought as part of a succession plan
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Overall responsibility for the development of the Group with a focus on profitable growth and the objectives of the PE company
- Direct responsibility for all holding functions (especially expansion, sales, finance/controlling, production and indirectly for the group companies)
- Ongoing improvement of the individual Group companies in partnership with the regional managing directors, supported by systematic benchmarking and best practice sharing
- Sharpening the brand positioning and differentiation from the competition, including the development of innovations, marketing & sales - in collaboration with the regional teams
- Strategic further development of the company in close cooperation with the PE company, including by supporting further acquisitions
- Conception and implementation of strategic, group-wide initiatives

YOUR PROFILE
- Experienced Managing Director (m/f/d) with a finance & process background in the food sector, ideally with management expertise from branch operations in the food retail or system catering sector
- Comprehensive P&L expertise, self-image as initiator and driver of overarching initiatives; familiar with leading management/director teams
- Team player and moderator with a "best-in-class" approach
- Entrepreneurial & authentic personality with an affinity for SMEs; strategically strong and at the same time implementation-oriented
- Confident and convincing in internal and external appearances, politically skilled in communication, can take people with you
- Successfully completed studies
- Very good command of English
