Internship in Product Development I Food Ingredients

Wasserburg am Inn • Full-time, Internship • 38 hours per week • Depending on contract type (voluntary or mandatory internship) • Start date: End of August (Duration: 6 months)

Your Responsibilities

Our Food Ingredients business unit develops and produces functional specialty ingredients for a wide range of applications in the food processing industry. During your internship, you’ll become part of our dedicated team and gain exciting insights into product development for applications in the Bakery & Sweet, Savory, and Dairy sectors.

You’ll not only support us in our day-to-day operations but also take on responsibility for your own small projects—from concept to implementation. Don’t worry: If you have questions or face challenges, experienced colleagues* will be there to help you at any time—we work as a team and support one another.

  • You’ll actively work on developing new functional ingredients for food applications
  • You will independently plan, conduct, and document test series in the laboratory or pilot plant
  • You will produce product samples and conduct various application tests
  • You will assist with stability testing—including sensory evaluations and chemical-physical analyses
  • You will assist in the development and optimization of application formulations for our customers*
  • You will gain exciting insights into related areas such as production and analytics

Your Profile

  • Are you passionate about food, do you follow current food trends with enthusiasm, and do you want to put your knowledge into practice? Do you enjoy working in a team, think in a solution-oriented way, and have fun developing and trying out new things? Then you’ve come to the right place!
  • You are currently studying food technology or a comparable degree program—or have already completed your studies
  • You have a technical understanding of and interest in functional ingredients and their applications
  • Ideally, you have gained initial experience in a laboratory or pilot plant
  • You work carefully, in a structured manner, and independently
  • You are proficient in MS Office
  • You communicate very well in German and English
  • Ideally, you hold a Class B driver’s license (for occasional errands)
