OUR CLIENT
The Bavarian Cooperative Association (GVB) is the statutory auditing and advocacy association for Bavarian cooperatives. The association plays a central role within the cooperative movement in Bavaria. Its responsibilities include, in particular, the legally required auditing of cooperatives, as well as advising, supporting, and representing the interests of its member companies. Due to retirement, we are seeking a new candidate to fill this multifaceted role in supporting cooperatives (from formation through liquidation).
YOUR NEW CHALLENGE
- You will serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for specific cooperative sectors
- Together with your team, you will provide tailored support to more than 1,000 cooperatives (excluding banks)
- You will represent members’ interests in dealings with government ministries, state and federal policymakers, and industry associations
- You will be responsible for the advisory strategy and service portfolio and will continuously develop them further
- You will represent the GVB and its members at events (association conferences, political forums, etc.)
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- You have several years of experience in a leadership role in industry, an association, or politics
- You have a very good understanding of the cooperative model and business management principles, are familiar with the dairy industry, and possess knowledge of energy and climate policy
- Preferably, you have experience in association work, advocacy, and serving on committees
- You are a persuasive individual with a confident demeanor, excellent communication and facilitation skills, strong networking abilities, strategic thinking, integrity, and a commitment to others
