In the course of further growth, our client would like to bring the area of finance/accounting into the company and is looking for a committed personality who is professionally convincing and would like to develop into a commercial management role in the future.

Head of Finance (m/f/d)

Your tasks

You will be responsible for operational and financial accounting and act as a sparring partner for the management. This is explicitly not a purely administrative role, but rather an active role in shaping and developing processes and structures.

  • You organize and are responsible for financial accounting in compliance with all legal requirements
  • Responsibility for the financial management and financial control of the company in close coordination with the management, including financial accounting, liquidity planning and internal business reporting such as sales and profit margin analyses
  • Sparring partner for the Managing Director for all commercial and financial issues, including further development of the strategy and identification of efficiency improvements and potential savings
  • Ensuring timely reporting to the holding company in accordance with the Group Financial Manual
  • Responsibility for the budgeting process and budget variance analysis
  • Management and collaboration in projects such as the introduction of a new ERP system, further development of existing processes, particularly in the area of controlling
  • You account for and post all business transactions and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset accounting as well as the bank and cash desk
  • You will prepare the balance sheet and profit and loss account and ensure proper documentation
  • You will be actively involved in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • You prepare reports and analyze key financial figures
  • You plan and manage liquidity and cash flow
  • You contribute to strategic issues in financial management and provide the basis for management decisions
  • You work closely with tax consultants and auditors
  • You act as a sparring partner for the management and report directly to them

Your profile

  • Completed commercial training with further training or business studies
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and corporate tax law
  • Sound training in financial management
  • Strong communication skills and a strong personality
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken), Group language is English
  • High affinity for numbers as well as an analytical and structured way of working
  • Confident handling of financial programs and management tools
  • Affinity for systems and processes
  • Desire and motivation to develop into a commercial management function in the future
