Here’s how you can imagine your tasks:
- You negotiate large quantities of meat on a weekly basis and secure the best conditions on the market
- You build strong partnerships with top suppliers and visit them regularly for direct quality checks
- You analyze market trends such as organic and regionality and identify new procurement sources ahead of the competition
- You independently optimize supplier conditions and set payment terms according to your strategic guidelines
- You process complaints immediately and ensure that all food law standards are met
- You keep an eye on price developments in the meat market and use your understanding of the market to make better purchasing decisions
- You take care of spices and other products in meat processing as an additional business area and continuously expand your product knowledge
- You take over the complete contract processing and support calculations with your expertise
You will impress us with this
- You have at least 5 years of experience in meat purchasing in wholesale or the food industry. Alternatively, you have several years of purchasing experience in the F&B or catering sector
- You regularly deal with large quantities of meat and are familiar with the truck volume business
- You are proficient in supplier negotiations and know how to optimize conditions
- Ideally, you have completed training as a butcher, chef or food technician
- You are fluent in German and English for international business
- You show negotiating skills and successfully assert yourself
- You have an affinity for numbers and calculate complex transactions with confidence
- You organize your tasks in a structured manner and maintain an overview
- Ideally, you already work with SAP systems
