With an annual delivery of over 1.3 billion kilograms of raw milk, Meierei Barmstedt eG is one of the largest milk processing companies in Germany. At our two sites in Barmstedt and Neumünster, we process raw milk to the highest technical and hygienic standards to produce semi-hard cheese, pasta filata/mozzarella cheese, butter, whey powder, cream and milk and whey concentrates. The products are sold to wholesalers, retailers, bulk consumers and industrial processors in Switzerland and abroad. With around 300 employees, including 18 trainees, we generate a turnover of almost 800 million euros.
For our logistics department at the Barmstedt site, we are looking to strengthen our team as soon as possible with a professionally and personally convincing
Team Leader Logistics (m/f/d)
for the support of our locations in Barmstedt and Neumünster.
Your tasks
- Technical and operational management of the logistics department including personnel management (2 employees)
- Direct reporting line to the Head of Logistics
- Responsible for planning, managing and optimizing cooperation with transport service providers, including negotiating freight prices
- Ensuring on-time delivery to our customers and production sites
- Supervision of milk carriers (coordination/scheduling of raw milk collection, evaluation, cost analysis)
- Analysis of key figures and continuous process optimization
- Close cooperation with production, purchasing and sales
Your profile
- Completed commercial training in the field of logistics - e.g. businessman / businesswoman forforwarding and logistics services (m/f/d) - or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the food industry, ideally in the dairy industry
- Proven management experience with a sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
- Sound knowledge of warehouse management, transport logistics and modern ERP systems
- Structured, process-oriented thinking and a high level of assertiveness
- Willingness to take on responsibility and actively help shape change
