- Our client is an economically successful, family-owned medium-sized company that is active in the premium fruit juice segment with well-known brands and generates sales in the high 2-digit million euro range
- Production takes place at the company's headquarters in the Rhineland, in which significant investments have been made in recent years, making the production facility one of the most modern of its kind
- As the product ranges are in the premium segment, purchasing raw materials is very important due to the high quality requirements and global sourcing efforts
- As part of a succession plan, we are now looking for a strategic buyer for raw materials (m/f/d) who can actively contribute to the optimization of structures and processes and, if successful, can take over the management of the raw materials purchasing department
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Strategic purchasing responsibility with a focus on defined raw material groups, in close cooperation with the overall purchasing manager
- Design & implementation of product group strategies and derivation of corresponding supplier strategies
- Supplier selection and evaluation to expand a sustainable supplier base; development of strategic partnerships
- Continuous analysis of inter/national procurement markets
- Regular visits to suppliers at the origin, if necessary new development
- Control and further development of the relevant purchasing processes and systematic further development of the purchasing instruments to be used
- Reporting line to the Head of Purchasing & Operations

YOUR PROFILE
- Experience in strategic purchasing of raw materials/semi-finished goods in a manufacturing food context
- Process & method competence in purchasing
- High affinity and experience in digital purchasing processes (e-procurement)
- SME-compatible personality with entrepreneurial vision, pragmatic and implementation-oriented
- Personal passion for sustainability and quality
- Willingness to travel to suppliers within Europe and overseas
- Completed degree in business administration/agriculture or comparable qualification
- Business fluent German and very good English skills
