Tasks

  • Entrepreneurial leadership and overall responsibility for your GLOBUS Markthalle – in operational excellence as well as in the strategic orientation of the location
  • Host for our customers – with tangible dedication and special local service
  • Actively shaping the regional community and developing the market hall as a meeting place
  • Representing our mission statement and values to employees, customers, partners and the public
  • Managing, developing and promoting 200-400 employees at the location
  • Ensuring sustainable profitability and high quality results
  • Developing and implementing a sustainable location strategy
  • Complying with and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and quality standards (e.g. food safety, occupational health and safety)
  • Actively helping to shape the regional and national development of GLOBUS Markthallen
  • Promoting cross-location cooperation in line with our value of “working together for each other”

Profile

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting leader with many years of experience in comparable overall responsibility
  • Strong customer focus and conviction that sustainable success is a joint effort
  • Sound knowledge of the industry and resilient network in retail or a comparable industry
  • High decision-making ability, willingness to take responsibility and strategic competence, combined with a strong commercial understanding
  • Strong communication skills and an authentic presence both internally and externally, as well as the ability to inspire people and develop high-performance teams
  • Enthusiasm for shaping processes and workflows, a strong focus on solutions and a continuous willingness to develop further
  • Clear identification with the management task and the ambition to create a sustainable impact
  • Regional ties or willingness to relocate, coupled with long-term thinking, courageous action and an understanding of economic success as the basis for future viability

Making GLOBUS fit for the future – that’s what our Corporate Development department is all about.
We support our management in defining the long-term direction for the company and deriving medium to long-term goals from this. Together with our managers, we then work to achieve these goals. To this end, we set up projects and support them through to implementation.

In addition, we oversee the annual strategy process – in the corporate strategy, but also in the individual divisional strategies. We initiate strategic projects and advise other divisions on their projects from a strategic perspective, but also support their projects with a methodological focus.
