- Our client is a well-known, family-owned German brand manufacturer with sales in the lower three-digit million-euro range
- The company markets sustainably produced product lines under several strong brands that enjoy an excellent reputation among retailers and consumers
- The company is characterized by a strong focus on trends and innovation and has further growth potential in its main sales channel—food retail—as well as in foodservice and e-commerce
- Its main sales territory is the DACH region and selected European markets
- As part of a succession plan, we are now seeking an operationally strong Sales Director (m/f/d) who will manage the existing business with a focus on results, systematically expand new sales channels (e.g., e-commerce, etc.), and tap into new markets
- Depending on qualifications, the role may expand in the medium term to that of a Commercial Director (m/f/d) (including leadership of the marketing team)
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic and operational leadership of sales in the DACH region and the EU
- Responsibility for the existing sales teams: KAM Team, Field Force, Customer Service, Trade Marketing/Category Management, and Export
- Operational involvement with strategically important customers, including leading customer meetings and providing hands-on support with a strong on-site presence
- Driving business expansion in channels outside the food retail sector and in European core markets to be defined
- Development and implementation of product category and marketing strategies in close collaboration with Marketing
- Expanding KPI-based, results-oriented customer management through consistent net revenue management while maintaining lean processes
- Transforming the sales team into a successful, future-oriented organization, with continuous upskilling and the enhancement of sales excellence
- Close collaboration with the Executive Board as part of the extended management team

YOUR PROFILE
- Sales training at a blue-chip FMCG company and several years of successful experience in leadership roles at at least one mid-sized brand company
- Well-developed negotiation skills and a proven track record of successfully negotiating terms and pricing with top clients in food retail and discount stores
- Expertise and vision for tapping into sales potential in foodservice and e-commerce channels
- Experience in KPI-based management of sales teams and building a future-oriented direct business (B2C and B2B)
- Familiar with efficiency-enhancing process optimizations and digital tools in sales
- A person of integrity who avoids silo thinking and keeps the company’s overall goals in mind, while also serving as a motivator and team player with a modern leadership style and strong communication skills
- A degree in business administration or comparable qualification, as well as business-level English
