For the DLG Technical Center Agriculture and Food in Frankfurt/Main, we are looking for a

Project Manager (m/f/d) Food and Academy Food (FTE - 100 %)

Your tasks:

  • Iconception, development, preparation and implementation of new specialist seminars and conferences in the food sector in Germany and abroad with the aim of communicating scientific findings in a practical form
  • Development of specialist and supporting programs for national and international trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Acting as a speaker in seminars and workshops, with moderation if necessary
  • Recruitment, budget negotiation, coordination and supervision of speakers
  • Further development of the DLG Sensory Navigator and similar projects as well as technical support for marketing in this area
  • Sales activities in cooperation with marketing, in particular participant acquisition and continuous maintenance and expansion of the DLG food expert network
  • Technical management of project assistants, working students and interns within the scope of the projects for which you are responsible

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies in food technology or oecotrophology or a comparable course of study
  • Ideally professional experience with a focus on food processing (e.g. QA/QM, R&D, production, etc.)
  • Points of contact and industry experience in food retail and/or the supplier industry for food processing are an advantage
  • You are familiar with project-oriented activities and have a high degree of organizational and communication skills as well as social competence. Ideally, you are not new to managing complex projects
  • Initial experience in the conception and development of training courses and seminars as well as project management experience in the field of events, especially AI competence is desirable
  • Very good written and spoken German and fluent English communication skills
  • Creative and solution-oriented way of working with a pronounced team orientation and strong rhetorical skills characterize your work - your appearance is always confident and engaging
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and abroad
  • Possession of a car driver's license
