Our client is a successful, owner-managed wholesale company in the food and foodservice sector. The company has a market position built up over many years, a broad customer base, and an efficient logistics operation. Based on a clearly defined management structure, this position offers the opportunity to actively shape the future development of a successful retail company. We are seeking a candidate with a strong commercial and operational background who is willing to take on responsibility and work with the shareholders to drive new initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for finance, controlling, liquidity, and corporate management
- Responsibility for purchasing and procurement
- Overall management of logistics, inventory management, and warehousing
- Leading and providing guidance to division and department heads
- Optimizing margins, inventory levels, costs, and processes
- Participation in strategic and business decisions
Profile:
- Several years of leadership experience in a medium-sized company
- Solid business background
- Ideally, experience in wholesale, foodservice, food retail, or distribution
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and logistics
- Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and hands-on approach to work
- Highly trustworthy and a good fit for a family-run business
