Head of Sales Food / LEH – Organic Private Label (m/f/d)
We are recruiting for the position of Head of Sales Food with a focus on food retail and private label in the organic convenience segment for a strong family business: Our client produces, develops and distributes pasty delicatessen products in certified organic quality for target groups in all phases of life and is characterized by a broad, exclusively self-produced range, creative and innovative product development and particularly good product range advice for the retail trade (food retail, organic specialist retailers and drugstores). The owner-managed company generates a turnover of almost 100 million within the Group and employs over 300 people at two production sites in Bavaria and Thuringia.
Following the takeover of the site in Bavaria and trend-setting investments in production facilities, product development and brands, we are looking to fill the position of a hands-on Head of Sales (m/f/d) as soon as possible. The focus is on the capacity-oriented expansion of the private label business. You will work in close cooperation with the operationally active shareholders and will be characterized by trust, creative ability and a willingness to take on responsibility. You will perform your duties nationwide – with the presence in the company that is necessary for a manager and identification figure.
We are looking for people who have the confidence to take on and sustainably expand sales responsibility for the range-dominating private label business based on their sales experience in the food retail sector and their personal network.
Your task
- Strategic and operational management of private label sales
- Sustainable utilization of production capacities by expanding and maintaining existing partnerships in the organic specialist trade, specialist drugstore trade and food retail trade
- Further development of the private label business in the organic and convenience segment
- Using your many years of experience in food retail to identify new market opportunities
- Leading the sales and product management team
- Responsibility for sales, earnings and long-term customer relationships
- As a member of management and driving force, you will work closely with management, product development and production
Your profile
- Several years of management experience in sales in the food industry, ideally in the organic convenience segment
- Sound knowledge of the food retail trade (LEH) and private label structures as well as an active network
- Entrepreneurial thinking, strategic strength and
- Structured way of working and operational implementation skills
- Strong negotiating skills, market intuition and pronounced customer orientation
- Leadership personality with a down-to-earth attitude and long-term perspective
