With an annual delivery of over 1.3 billion kilograms of raw milk, Meierei Barmstedt eG is one of the largest milk-processing companies in Germany. At our two sites in Barmstedt and Neumünster , we process raw milk to the highest technical and hygienic standards to produce semi-hard cheese, pasta filata/mozzarella cheese, butter, whey powder, cream and milk and whey concentrates. The products are sold to wholesalers, retailers, bulk consumers and industrial processors in Switzerland and abroad. With around 300 employees, including 18 trainees, we generate a turnover of almost 800 million euros.
For our production departments Sliced Cheese, Pasta Filata and Whey Drying at the Neumünster site, we are looking for a professionally and personally convincing Department Manager (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
Your tasks
- Organizing the processing of raw milk into semi-hard cheese and pasta filata and refining the whey into whey powder by evaporation and spray drying
- Ensuring product quality in compliance with hygiene and safety standards in cooperation with quality assurance
- Planning and controlling production and cleaning processes based on production quantities
- monitoring production specifications in terms of quantity and ingredients
- Active participation in improvement processes and compliance with key performance indicators
- Ensuring complete production, cleaning and filling documents
- Participation in internal and external audits and presentation of the required verification documents
- monitoring CP and CCPs and recognizing deviations
- Compliance with the required delivery times and production targets
- Preparation of personnel deployment plans
- Supervision of trainees and new hires
- Checking the quantity of existing operating and auxiliary materials
- Coordination and coordination of maintenance and repair work with the technical department
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as a dairy technologist / food technology specialist with further training as a dairy master or (food) technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
- Experience in the food industry and in the management of industrial employees in a 24/7 full-service operation
- Confident handling of the common MS Office programs
- Good technical understanding, strong organizational skills and an independent and careful way of working
