Our client Sunbloom Proteins GmbH (www.sunbloom-proteins.com) is an innovative manufacturer of sunflower proteins, which are used as highly functional ingredients in the food industry – especially in plant-based dairy alternatives, desserts, savory applications and nutrition.

Against the background of a dynamically growing demand for sustainable, functional protein solutions as the basis of plant-based nutrition, Sunbloom is now expanding its team. Therefore, we are looking for an entrepreneurial person on behalf of our client at the earliest possible date:

Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) – Plant-based Proteins / DACH & Poland

Your tasks

As Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) your main task will be the active development of the markets Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland by creating and implementing a business development action plan:

  • Active acquisition of new customers in the target area of the food industry (manufacturers, distributors, ingredient blending)
  • Identification and qualification of potential customers and decision-makers
  • Management of the distribution network:
    • Support and further development of existing distribution partners incl. performance management
    • Expansion of the network by acquiring new partners
  • In cooperation with the internal departments: preparation of offers, contract negotiations through to successful conclusion, customer development projects
  • Strengthening the visibility of the Sunbloom brand and positioning as market leader in the functional protein sector
  • Regular reporting and exchange of information with the management
  • Market and competition monitoring, participation in trade events and trade fairs

Your profile

We are looking for an entrepreneurial personality with a strong hunter mindset who can identify market potential, build strategic accounts and consistently drive the positioning of a sustainable protein solution in the B2B environment.

What you bring to the table:

  • Several years of sales experience with a technical product for the food industry target group, ideally in the area of food ingredients/ingredients, specialties, plant-based substitute products
  • A keen sense for the expectations and needs of customers and contacts at various levels in the decision-making process (R&D, purchasing, management)
  • Strong communication skills paired with persuasiveness and negotiating skills
  • High willingness to travel throughout the sales area as well as for regular team meetings at the headquarters in Munich
  • Structured and autonomous way of working
  • Good command of English
