The position:

Become part of an innovative company and actively shape the growth of the Food & Nutrition business unit. As Account Manager Flavours (f/m/d), you will support selected customers in the food sector and work with them to develop tailor-made flavor solutions. You will recognize market opportunities, contribute creative ideas and build long-term, trusting customer relationships. In close cooperation with Product Management and the Inside Sales team, you will ensure that our customers are optimally supported from the concept idea to the market launch

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for sales and business development in Germany in the area of flavors, including support for existing customers and key accounts
  • Advising customers on the development, formulation and optimization of flavour solutions and supporting them with product concepts
  • Identifying leads, acquiring new customers and expanding strategically relevant market segments
  • Preparation of offers, price calculations and negotiation of supply contracts in collaboration with the account management and sales team
  • Working closely with product management and suppliers to develop and implement customer-oriented solutions
  • Analyzing market trends, competitive activities and potential for new and existing applications
  • Planning and responsibility for forecasting, demand planning as well as gap and potential analyses
  • Implementation and follow-up of marketing and sales activities to strengthen market presence

What you bring with you:

  • Completed technical, scientific or commercial studies or comparable completed training, ideally related to the food industry (e.g. food technology, nutritional science, ecotrophology)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in sales and in the food and nutrition industry, particularly in the area of flavors/flavourings
  • Excellent communication skills, strong negotiation skills and a strong focus on results
  • “Hunter” mentality with the will to achieve and exceed targets
  • High level of commitment and initiative, independent and structured way of working and solution orientation
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications and user experience with CRM systems
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
