GROWING ETHNIC FOOD WHOLESALER
- Our client is a successful wholesale company in Germany that was recently acquired by an international food group specializing in ethnic foods
- With approximately 50 employees, our client generates sales in the mid-double-digit millions of euros, serving customers in traditional ethnic retail and, increasingly, in mainstream German retail (REWE, etc.)
- As the post-acquisition phase gets underway, our client is focusing on harmonizing processes with the international group and further professionalizing its operations in close collaboration with the new owners
- To support this process and provide a dedicated Finance Business Partner for the new Managing Director (MD) in Germany, we are now seeking an agile Head of Finance (a. g.)
- The job holder will be part of the German management team and will report to both the German MD and the international Group CFO
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the Finance & Controlling department in Germany
- Managing the financial integration of the business into the group
- Establishing a professional organization, processes, and tools
- Coordinating with the external accounting firm; overseeing month-end and year-end closings and statutory audits; and ensuring compliance with German accounting and tax regulations
- Developing reliable management reporting and KPIs
- Supporting IFRS reporting and consolidation; implementing the group’s reporting standards, as well as internal controls and risk management
- Monitoring cash flow and liquidity; maintaining banking relationships

YOUR PROFILE
- At least 5–8 years of management experience as a manager or director of Finance & Controlling (or similar) in a comparable role or company of comparable size
- Expertise in building and developing teams and organizations
- Experience with post-acquisition integration, transformation, or change management would be an advantage
- Experience in international business environments, familiarity with IFRS and German accounting and tax regulations
- Extensive experience with ERP and BI/reporting tools
- A hands-on approach combined with strong leadership and excellent internal and external communication skills
- Fluent German and Turkish are required, along with business-level English
