Our client is a food manufacturer with multiple production sites that is highly regarded by consumers for its high-quality branded products. The group has a strong market presence and is well-positioned for the future. We are now seeking an experienced executive to lead a plant in North Rhine-Westphalia who will ensure ongoing production at the site and drive the further development of manufacturing processes, structures, and facilities in line with the company’s strategy.

Overall responsibility for a production site with a diverse product portfolio
As Plant Manager (m/f/d), you will assume overall responsibility for a production site with several hundred employees and oversee the entire value-added process—from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products. You will manage the plant in a cost-effective and consistently metrics-driven manner, continuously optimize the utilization of equipment and resources, and ensure efficient investment and maintenance management. Together with your leadership team, you will foster a performance-oriented leadership culture and drive the sustainable development of the organization and its employees. Of course, you will ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements—particularly in the areas of quality, hygiene, occupational safety, and environmental and food regulations. In addition, you will work closely with the management and the central departments of the corporate group and represent the site in dealings with authorities and other external partners. You will report directly to the executive board.

We are seeking a leader who excels both personally and professionally, with a degree in food technology, process engineering, or a comparable field, and many years of cross-functional management experience in food production. You possess comprehensive knowledge of modern production and optimization methods such as Lean Management, TPM, or continuous improvement (KVP), and have already successfully implemented investment and change projects. You also have a basic understanding of food law and auditing, as well as experience in project management and working with ERP systems. A solid understanding of modern business and IT processes, as well as knowledge of common quality and hygiene standards such as IFS, BRC, ISO 9001, or HACCP, are also required. You possess strong communication and creative skills and think across departments, with a focus on cost efficiency and within the broader context of the entire company. Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as fluency in English, round out the ideal profile.

Benefits

You can expect a challenging role with a high level of responsibility and a wide range of opportunities to shape your work in a modern production environment that is appropriately compensated and equipped to meet the demands of the position.
