Key Account Manager (m/f/d) for the Confectionery Industry
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Responsibility for building and establishing a new brand in the German food retail sector
- Active sales, new customer acquisition, and initial listings with key retail partners
- Developing and implementing sales and listing strategies for market entry
- Managing and expanding selected key accounts with a focus on brand growth and distribution
- Planning and conducting negotiations, annual reviews, and product presentations
- Identifying market opportunities, trends, and competitive developments to further develop the brand strategy
- Close collaboration with marketing, product development, and the supply chain to successfully position the brand in the market
- Regular travel to visit customers and local markets
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in sales/key account management, ideally in the FMCG or confectionery industry
- In-depth knowledge of the German food retail sector and, ideally, a strong network of relevant decision-makers at the purchasing and category management levels
- Experience in establishing and expanding customer relationships
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset combined with a hands-on approach
- Willingness to travel frequently for regular on-site client meetings (Germany)
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in KPI-based management
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident demeanor
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
