Hochland’s on-site dining service offers high-quality meals at very attractive prices. For those looking for a quick bite, a varied selection of freshly prepared food is available around the clock.
To start your day off right, the breakfast counter features regional baked goods along with a selection of fresh sausage, cheese, hummus, and granola, among other items.
The health of its employees is very important to Hochland, which is why the meals in the company cafeteria are designed according to the latest nutritional science—while taking into account the diverse cultures and eating habits of Hochland employees. The Hochland company cafeteria is one of the very few company cafeterias in Germany to have been awarded with the Job&Fit certification.
Every day, the Hochland kitchen team prepares a wide variety of fresh meals using fresh, regional, and sustainably grown ingredients.

Flexible and family-friendly work schedules
We ideally avoid the accumulation of overtime through proactive planning. If overtime does occur, it is credited to the employee’s flex-time account. This time can be taken off.
Hochländer employees who wish to work less than 100% (38 hours per week) are welcome to request this. We’re open to it! This is also reflected in our 25% part-time employee rate (43% of whom are men) in Germany (as of 2022).
In addition to their 30 days of vacation, every Hochländer employee has the option to request up to 20 days of unpaid leave per year.
With us, you have the option to work up to 50% remotely.

Welcoming Culture, Intensive Support
Every new Hochland employee is warmly welcomed into the Hochland family. This is also evident in the small, personalized welcome gestures, such as a bouquet of flowers at your new workstation. As a new member of the Hochland family, you’ll be assigned a personal mentor who will support you during your onboarding with a detailed training plan and be there to offer advice and assistance. Whether it’s technical questions or, for example, finding your way to our in-house cheese shop—the mentor program helps our “newcomers” settle into the company quickly and with enthusiasm.
