In our Expansion division, we transform our dm stores into distinctive spaces where people feel at home: an inviting atmosphere, a close connection with shoppers, and the unique dm brand experience—these are the goals of our work. To this end, we are responsible for the entire lifecycle of a dm store: from site selection through construction and furnishing of our stores to maintenance during the lease term.

In the Strategy, Processes, and Services division, we take responsibility for and support cross-departmental and cross-functional issues related to topics such as sustainability, international requirements management, and process management using appropriate methods and technologies, and we facilitate the associated changes and developments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for initiating, planning, executing, and successfully completing complex, strategic, IT-related international projects
  • Central point of contact for close collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, the subject matter expert teams, and our IT department, dmTECH
  • Establishing test management during expansion and taking charge of planning and coordinating individual test scopes while considering potential risks
  • Proactively driving innovation, identifying efficiency potential, and jointly developing creative solutions for complex issues related to expansion with the project team
  • Supporting the evaluation and implementation of modern technologies (AI, IoT, Big Data) in technical building management and real estate portfolio management, and assisting with projects related to data strategy and data quality
  • Maintaining an overview of the IT architecture within the expansion division as well as business processes, and jointly developing an IT strategy and IT roadmap with our IT department, dmTECH

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of IT project management
  • Several years of experience in IT project management at the interface with real estate and facility management, building services engineering, or CAFM systems is required
  • Ideally, experience in designing system and data architectures
  • A pragmatic approach to work, a solution-oriented and analytical mindset, and the ability to bridge the gap between the business and IT worlds
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and diplomatic abilities
