LEADING MANUFACTURER IN THE CONVENIENCE MEAT SECTOR

  • Our client is a meat producer in the convenience sector that, as a national supplier, is experiencing a gratifying rise in demand for its product lines and is growing steadily
  • For several years now, Schnitzelmacher has been part of the international “Group of Butchers,” which is headquartered in the Netherlands
  • Changing consumer demands regarding meat have led to a significant emphasis on animal welfare and sustainability in the company’s business strategy
  • Schnitzelmacher distributes its products through the food retail and food service channels, generating high double-digit million-euro revenue
  • To enable further growth, our client is continuously investing in its main facility in Lower Saxony, particularly in capacity expansions, new technologies, and innovative product lines
  • As part of a succession plan, we are now seeking an agile Plant Manager (m/f/d) for the facility in Rehden

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall responsibility for production, engineering, and the supply chain
  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while adhering to all quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Strategic development of operational structures, shop floor processes, and routines to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Initiating and managing automation programs and overseeing investment planning and implementation
  • Further development of lean management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement processes (CIP)
  • Direct reporting line to the sole managing director and close collaboration with the entire management team
  • Overall responsibility for approximately 250 employees

YOUR PROFILE

  • Several years of management experience leading operations in the food industry, ideally in the meat industry
  • Strong focus on processes and productivity with state-of-the-art knowledge of operational excellence topics, such as CIP, Lean, agile shop floor methods, modern maintenance approaches, etc.
  • Forward-looking, solution-oriented, hands-on, and motivating; with experience in developing operations teams and high-potential talent
  • Experience collaborating with employee representative bodies
  • Technical degree in the food sector (e.g., food technology, process engineering) or comparable qualification; good English skills
