- The company acts as a sourcing & marketing partner for retailers and enjoys a strong reputation
- In addition to private labels, the company also offers its own brands (food & non-food)
- The portfolio includes product ranges from several categories, which are listed nationally (focus) and in some cases also internationally
- The company works in sourcing with various international/national production companies
- As part of a succession process, we are now looking for the Managing Director Purchasing (m/f/d), who will lead a team of approx. 25 employees in a professional and disciplinary manner
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Responsibility for handling the operational purchasing of food, raw materials, packaging and merchandise, among other things
- Providing competitive offers for sales; managing, maintaining and optimizing the supplier network abroad, including regular supplier visits, including negotiating and concluding contracts
- Price negotiations and offer and price comparisons to ensure optimal purchasing conditions
- Analysis and optimization of purchasing processes & strategies
- Responsibility for tenders and quality controls
- Preparation of purchasing reports, forecasts, monthly evaluations and other relevant reports
- Management of the innovation process and close cooperation with marketing, controlling, sales and management

YOUR PROFILE
- Many years of sound experience in purchasing or supply chain management, ideally in the food industry or in wholesale & foreign trade
- Experience in leading/developing teams (international)
- Confident appearance, negotiating skills, strong communication skills and analytical thinking
- Proficient in the use of common Office programs, Google Workspace and experience with ERP systems, e.g. Navision
- Solution-oriented way of working with a high level of quality awareness
- Excellent understanding of economic interrelationships
- Business fluent in German and English (ideally other languages) and willingness to travel
- Business studies or a comparable qualification
