- The portfolio enjoys steadily growing demand and continues to offer great potential both nationally and internationally
- Investments are being made in the plant at the main site near Bonn and the technical equipment is already of a high standard
- Due to the expected continued growth, the structures and processes are also currently being adapted; among other things, purchasing is to be centralized and strengthened in the future (direct & indirect materials)
- Against this background, the position of Head of Purchasing (m/f/d) will be newly created as part of the planned centralization
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Gradual consolidation of purchasing activities (raw materials & semi-finished goods, VPM, technology, logistics and other services) with an initial focus on raw materials and packaging
- Management and further development of a small team
- assuming responsibility in strategic purchasing for selected top procurement positions
- Continuous analysis of international procurement markets
- Implementation of professional strategic supplier management with the establishment of strategic partnerships
- Control & further development of the relevant purchasing processes and systematic further development of the purchasing instruments to be used
- Reporting line to the Director Supply Chain & Operations

YOUR PROFILE
- Several years of experience in strategic & operational food purchasing in a manufacturing context with (initial) personnel responsibility
- Purchasing expertise for raw materials & semi-finished goods (focus) from food, ideally also for VPM and typical services, especially logistics purchasing
- Process & methodological expertise in purchasing, paired with a high affinity for IT and experience in digital purchasing processes (e-procurement)
- SME-compatible management personality, commercially adept, conceptually strong, pragmatic & implementation-oriented at the same time
- High creative drive and passion for food
- Willingness to travel seasonally and internationally during the pre-harvest period
- Completed degree in business administration/agriculture; business fluent in English
